The museum opened its outdoor exposition

On August 2nd in the Naval museum was officially opened the restored outdoor exposition. This happened on the eve and on the occasion of the feast of the Naval forces – August 8th . It can be visited by citizens free of charge from August 2nd to August 8th from 10.00 h. to 18.00.h.

For the first time in front of the museum building were risen the Bulgarian National flag and the European Union flag.

In the ritual took part the chief of the Naval forces who rewarded the servicemen and the civil employees with the help of whom was accomplished an enormous in volume work on the majority of the exponents in the park. Her gratitude to the military seamen, the Naval museum employees, who took an active part, expressed the director of the museum Dr. Mariana Krasteva and presented them with charters in the name of the director of NMMH.

With charters in the name of the chief of the Naval forces and the director of the Naval museum were awarded also the companies sponsors of the renovating campaign : “Planex”Ltd; “ Bulyard shipbuilding industry ” EAD, “Dolphin 1 - MTG” AD, “Shiprepair factory Odessos ” AD, “Terem- KRZ Naval arsenal- Varna” EOOD; “Petromar PLC”- Varna, G.Genchev.

The Naval museum received from the Naval forces donations for its fund : A wheel for average steering from a small landing ship 106-K , led off the effectives of the Naval forces in 2008, the last flag of 130 mm training coast battery, lowered in 2001.

After “an inspection” of the restored torpedo boat “Drazki”- exponent N.1 of the museum, the chief of the Naval forces rear admiral Plamen Manushev stood behind his wheel.

The submerged Russian destroyer “Lieutenant Pushchin” was found in Bulgarian waters
